If your group needs an organizing presentation, look no further! Alison loves passing on her organizing skills and experience, and can design seminars for any size or age of group. She typically brings a garment rack to demonstrate how to organize the different types of clothes in the closet, and a pantry display with multiple sizes of bins. She also provides a seminar demonstrating the Konmari Method, with hands-on practice sessions for the participants.
Our seminar rate is $250 for a one hour presentation on your choice of the KonMari Method or Home Organization 101.
The Oldspace Newspace team will arrive ~30 minutes prior to the start time to set up literature and props.
An example garment rack and pantry rack are part of each organizing seminar, to illustrate techniques and help participants witness the visual impact of a changed space! For a KonMari seminar, Alison might ask participants to bring a few personal items to practice sorting.
We provide literature, note-taking materials, and a workshop summary, all specific to the size and needs of your group. Pictured here is a professional organizers’ training led by Alison.
After introductions, Alison will explain her basic organizing process, give tips for common messy areas or organizing challenges, and demonstrate techniques using the garment rack and pantry rack.
Reflection time is planned into each seminar, typically with a guided prompt.
Each seminar ends with discussion, when participants share their reflections with the group and ask any questions they have. In a KonMari seminar, this is a great time to find out how to fold tricky clothing items!
